This topic belongs to Lesson 1. Two tasks from the partners.
Task 1, reflection: reflect on your current HyFlex course (or a course you plan to design). Which of the three key indicators, student satisfaction, participation, and learning outcomes, are you already measuring? Which ones might you be missing? Write a brief reflection of 3 to 5 sentences describing what data you currently collect and where you might need to dig deeper.
Task 2, scenario analysis: choose one of the three instructors, Clara, Jamal or Ewa. Identify which of the three key indicators (or any additional one) would be most helpful to evaluate in their course, and explain why it is important to measure this aspect in that context.
Add the variable the Evaluation Variables tool put first for your course. Then read a colleague’s post and reply.
How to reply so that it is useful
Read at least one other post before you write your own, and answer it in three short parts:
1. What works: name one specific choice in the post that would help their students, and say why.
2. What worries you: point to one place where a learner in a different mode, especially the asynchronous one, could be left out, and suggest a fix.
3. What you would borrow: one idea you will take into your own course, and how you would adapt it.
Post your own contribution as text in the message field rather than as an attachment, so that colleagues can read it without downloading. This is a practice task and it is not graded; the programme team reads every thread and replies where a discussion stalls.
