KeymasterThis topic belongs to Lesson 1. After listening to the podcast featuring various university professors’ perspectives on automating educational content with AI, you compared a manual and an AI-assisted version of the same micro-explanation and multiple-choice questions on a topic from your own course, using five criteria: clarity, cognitive demand, contextual relevance, tone and voice, time and effort.
Post your reflection here in one of three forms: a short written summary of 150 to 200 words; a comparative table with key insights; or a link to a voice note or short video of one to two minutes that you host. Cover the four reflection questions: in what types of tasks do you see clear benefits from using AI; where do you see limitations or risks in automating content; how might AI help scale or personalise content in a HyFlex setting; would you feel comfortable using AI-generated content with your students, and why or why not.
Then respond to at least one colleague. Focus on practical insights, ethical considerations, and pedagogical implications.
How to reply so that it is useful
Read at least one other post before you write your own, and answer it in three short parts:
1. What works: name one specific choice in the post that would help their students, and say why.
2. What worries you: point to one place where a learner in a different mode, especially the asynchronous one, could be left out, and suggest a fix.
3. What you would borrow: one idea you will take into your own course, and how you would adapt it.Post your own contribution as text in the message field rather than as an attachment, so that colleagues can read it without downloading. This is a practice task and it is not graded; the programme team reads every thread and replies where a discussion stalls.
