This topic belongs to Lesson 1, step 8.
Post your reflection from the Apply step, 300 to 500 words, as text. It should cover both parts of the task: the issues a colleague’s plan would raise for students in different modes through the digital divide and accessibility, with your three concrete improvements; and the adaptations you devised for a class you teach or would like to teach in HyFlex, including the alternative for a student who does not use generative AI at all.
Name the course, the level and the mode most of your students use, so that the people replying know who your students are.
Then read others’ reflections and commend or give feedback to the ones you choose. The digital divide looks different in every discipline. The most useful replies are the ones that name a student the writer did not think of.
How to reply so that it is useful
Read at least one other post before you write your own, and answer it in three short parts:
1. What works: name one specific choice in the post that would help their students, and say why.
2. What worries you: point to one place where a learner in a different mode, especially the asynchronous one, could be left out, and suggest a fix.
3. What you would borrow: one idea you will take into your own course, and how you would adapt it.
Post your own contribution as text in the message field rather than as an attachment, so that colleagues can read it without downloading. This is a practice task and it is not graded; the programme team reads every thread and replies where a discussion stalls.
