This topic belongs to Lesson 3. The case: an Introduction to Psychology course in HyFlex where asynchronous students rarely post, synchronous students report technical problems, and face-to-face students feel disconnected from online peers; surveys (65 percent satisfied with flexibility, 40 percent struggling asynchronously, 30 percent with technical issues), LMS analytics (asynchronous participation down 50 percent after week 5) and performance data (83, 78 and 70 percent by mode).

Post your action plan here, 400 to 500 words: the framework you chose, your two tools, at least two strengths and two areas for improvement supported by evidence, and specific recommendations for redesign, such as restructuring asynchronous forums, investing in technology support for synchronous students, or building bridges between in-person and online communities. Then read and comment on at least one peer’s plan: offer constructive feedback, suggest an additional tool, or highlight an angle they may have overlooked. Evaluation is not about finding fault; it is about discovering opportunities for improvement.

How to reply so that it is useful

Read at least one other post before you write your own, and answer it in three short parts:

    1. What works: name one specific choice in the post that would help their students, and say why.
    2. What worries you: point to one place where a learner in a different mode, especially the asynchronous one, could be left out, and suggest a fix.
    3. What you would borrow: one idea you will take into your own course, and how you would adapt it.

Post your own contribution as text in the message field rather than as an attachment, so that colleagues can read it without downloading. This is a practice task and it is not graded; the programme team reads every thread and replies where a discussion stalls.
