Kenan Dikilitaş is a professor at the program for university pedagogy at the University of Bergen, specializing in teacher education, including higher education, and conducting research in various aspects of education. He is currently teaching university pedagogy courses on technology, supervision, and pedagogical projects. He has been researching teacher development through action research, English-medium instruction in higher education, and is involved in systematic review projects. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to several books on topics related to pedagogy, teacher development, and educational practices in higher education.
Robert Morris Gray Jr. (Technology Integration in Teaching and Learning Expert) – University of Bergen

Robert Morris Gray Jr. is an associate professor at the program for university pedagogy at the University of Bergen. He holds a PhD in instructional technology and specializes in technology integration and blended learning. His research interests include various aspects of interaction, including his own ‘writerly’ approach to interaction, which can be applied in different modalities of course designs and feedback processes. As the leader of the TeLEd (Teaching and Learning in Higher Education) research group, Gray leads innovative research projects aimed at integrating technology in teaching and learning in ways that promote engagement with digital content.

Ellen Lien / Senior Adviser (Expert in Universal Design) – University of Bergen

Senior Adviser Ellen Lien works in the Learning Support group at UiB Learning Lab, focusing on universal design. She is responsible for driving UiB Universell, a central service that assists faculties and institutes in their work with universal design. Her role involves promoting inclusive learning environments and supporting the integration of universal design principles across the university. She has given several papers nationally on different aspects within her special field and work actively in different projects in order to put focus on universal design of learning. In addition, she develops and holds training courses for the scientific staff at UiB.

Matthew Russell (AI and HyFlex Expert) – University of Texas at Austin and research associate at University of Bergen

Matthew Russell (he/him) is an Education Consultant in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature. He works with faculty to support the use of technology in teaching and learning as well as help them design online and blended courses. In the CTL, he has developed the online instructional resource, “Architecting Online Courses” DDIG, as well as resources in the CTL Commons. At his previous institution, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Matthew was a blended and online course design consultant, lecturer in Comparative Literature, and founding co-director of the UWM Libraries Digital Humanities Lab, where he developed numerous digital humanities. He is also an associate researcher in our TeLEd research group at the university of Bergen.

Brian Beatty (HyFlex Expert) – University of San Francisco and research associate at University of Bergen

Brian Beatty is Professor of Instructional Design and Technology in the Department of Equity, Leadership Studies and Instructional Technologies at San Francisco State University and holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology. Brian’s primary areas of interest and research include social interaction in online learning, flipped classroom implementation, and developing instructional design theory for Hybrid-Flexible learning environments. At SFSU, Dr. Beatty pioneered the development and evaluation of the HyFlex course design model for blended learning environments, implementing a “student-directed-hybrid” approach to better support student learning. He is also an associate researcher in our TeLEd research group at the university of Bergen.
