Kenan Dikilitas HCC 2025 Presentation HYCOMM Needs Analysis
In collaboration with Ingrid Noguera from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Kenan Dikilitaş, from University of Bergen, presented the findings from our focus group discussions at the 2025 HyFlex Collaborative Conference, which was held in a hybrid format.
The presentation was prerecorded in cooperation with Brian J. Beatty from San Francisco State University, who is also actively engaged in our HyComm project. Their joint contribution included a reflection on the outcomes of the presentation.

The engagement the presentation inspired during the follow-up discussion was especially notable in the enthusiastic response to the project’s cross-university collaboration. Attendees from diverse institutions shared that the findings resonated closely with their own experiences, particularly when they made the time for, and were given institutional support to conduct, thorough needs assessments. Many expressed a strong interest in seeing the HyComm project succeed in developing AI-supported HyFlex teaching practices for a European context and voiced hopes that its outputs would be shared more broadly with an international audience. Conference participants also looked forward to hearing from the project team at next year’s HyFlex Collaborative Conference, especially regarding the launch and impact of the new eLearning and resource hub being developed to support faculty through HYCOMM.
