The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is a generalist campus-based University, hosting an overall amount of almost 34.000 students (2018-19) among graduate, master and doctorate students. The UAB plays a worldwide leading role in scientific research and its wide range of disciplines, in both education and research, indicates its multidisciplinary approach.

The UAB holds a leading position in the most prestigious and influential international university rankings due to the growing impact of its research, the constant improvement of the quality of teaching and the ability to attract international talent: UAB is the second-ranked university in Spain according to the Times of Higher Education World University Ranking (THE WUR) 2019 and occupying position 145 in the world ranking. The UAB’s commitment to internationalisation is reflected in its agreements with universities all over the world, which potentiates exchanges and joint projects for students, researchers and staff, and with the creation of an International Projects Office (OPI) that brings specialised support to researchers and staff in the preparation of projects and, once granted, in its management and implementation within the institution.

Ingrid Noguera – Associate Professor of Education 

Ingrid Noguera is Associate Professor of Education at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Her research interests include teaching and learning in the digital society as well as innovative teaching methods. She leads several national and international projects regarding the flipped classroom, artificial intelligence, and innovative teaching. 

She has coordinated the European project FLeD (https://fledproject.eu/) on learning design for flexible education.

Xavier Rambla is Full Professor of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He has researched education policy in a variety of countries. Some of his recent projects focus on learning outcomes (https://clear-horizon.eu/), employability of VET graduates (https://www.aivetproject.eu/) and hybrid learning in higher education (https://blearn-autonomy.eu/) in different EU member states. Rambla is link convenor of the education policy network of the European Educational Research Association.
